Kiwi OmniCup Delivery System

The Kiwi OmniCup vacuum extraction device is an integral unit designed for complete control by the operator. The cup is made from a plastic material and is intended for single patient use only.

Calibrations have been painted on the suction tube at 6cm and 11cm to show how far the cup has been inserted into the birth canal and to indicate when the cup has been correctly positioned on the fetal head.

The OmniCup is an all-in-one anterior and posterior cup and may be used for all positions of the fetal head namely, occipito anterior, transverse and posterior positions.
The OmniCup incorporates a lightweight and compact PalmPump vacuum mechanism which provides the suction for cup attachment to the fetal scalp and also serves as the handle for traction. The pump cylinder houses a colour-coded vacuum indicator gauge that displays the amount of generated suction.
In addition, a model of the OmniCup is available that includes a traction force indicator which permits the operator to view and control the amount of traction that is being exerted on the fetal scalp.

This one-piece unit makes it possible for the operator to perform the procedure without the need of an assistant thus freeing the attendant staff for other duties.
